Jigital accepted the challenge of converting an existing Sitecore site to WordPress. The kicker was to replicate the functionality of the Sitecore 'Experience Editor'
We happened to stumble on a tool called 'UnlimitedElements for Elementor' which allowed us to program simple components within WordPress that could dragged on to the page and edited within Elementor
UnlimitedElements for Elementor is a plugin specifically designed for the popular WordPress page builder called Elementor.
It enhances Elementor's capabilities and offers a developer the ability to create thier own components, easily, using a basic programming language.
All of the Sitecore components for this project were re-created in UnlimitedElements that can be edited by a user within Elementor
By leveraging UnlimitedElements for Elementor, Jigital was able to provide a similar editing experience for content authors and administrators in WordPress as they had in the original Sitecore site.
This allowed them to maintain the familiar interface and functionalities, ensuring a seamless transition for users familiar with the 'Experience Editor.'
Overall, the combination of Jigital's expertise, WordPress, and the UnlimitedElements for Elementor plugin enabled them to successfully convert the Sitecore site to WordPress while replicating the key features of the 'Experience Editor.'
